Recital is a Melbourne-based archive of secondhand designer clothing and found vintage objects, founded in 2025.

Three categories exist within Recital: designer, vintage, and the loan collection. Designer pieces made with a point of view and have survived with it intact. Found objects and garments carrying a life we can only partially trace. And the loan collection — a selection of rare and hard-to-find pieces available for short-term loan by enquiry. 

Curation is central to Recital. A dialogue between the precious and the peculiar, between the known and the anonymous, between things that were made to be seen and things that were never meant to last.

Recital keeps things until the right person arrives.
